What's in my August Glossybox?

Yay. My August Glossybox arrived. And it got here much quicker than last months. I received my dispatched email and the box arrived the next day just before lunch time.

I know this is only my second box but this is definitely my favourite box out of the 2.

Sorry about the really pants pictures. I had set aside today to do pictures but when I woke up, it was torrential rain and really grey, dull skies so no good natural light, and that has lasted all day. I actually don't think it has stopped raining once. Good job I like days like this, isn't it?

So lets find out what I have.

Doesn't it all look so pretty? You may or may not be able to see that on the front of the info card, it shows that this is an International Superstars box, so the samples are from different places around the world. I like this idea, mainly because I like to know what's out there. Another thing you will notice, is that I have 6 items in this box.
5 of which were full sized samples. See now why I am a bit giddy over this box?

You should be able to see on the info card that 4 of the products have little flags next to their names to indicate what country they are from. So onto the samples we go.

First up:

Alessandro Pro white (Germany)- Optically brightening effect nail polish with anti-yellowing formula for radiant white and gleaming nails. RRP £7.85 for 10ml. The sample I received is 10ml.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (Japan) - This revolutionary water-soluble cleanser is better than any other make-up remover you've ever tried. RRP £18.50 for 200ml. The sample I received is 30ml.

It also says on the info card to go to DHC Glossybox for  £5 off purchases over £25 (offer expires 30/09/2012)

All For Eve For The Eve Appeal Eve's Balm (GB)- Eve's balm is an easily absorbed recovery balm to nourish dry chapped skin. RRP £4.95 for 7g. The sample I received is 7g.

It also says to go to All for Eve and enter GLOSSY1 at checkout to receive 15% off. (offer expires 30/09/2012.

I really like the concept of this beauty brand. All net profits from sales of these products go to The Eve Appeal, a gynaecology cancer research fund for better detection and improved treatment of all five gynaecological cancers. And the balm smells divine. Check them out to get some great products and 15% off.

Vera Valenti L'Ombre à Paupiere Margarita (Spain)- an eyeshadow palette offering a selection of 10 different colours with an applicator included. RRP £3.85. This is a full-sized sample.

Lipcote Lipcote (GB)- the original lipstick sealer and secret of long lasting, feather fade and water resistant lipstick. RRP £3.99 for 7ml. The sample I received is 7ml.

And finally:

Glossybox lipstick in Glossy Pink- Professional beauty lipstick for soft and glamorous lips with a luminous, long-lasting colour. RRP £9.50 for 4g. The sample I received is 4g.

The overall cost of the items is less than last months box, but I am so impressed with the haul I received in this one, it deffo comes tops.

I haven't had a chance to try out any of the products yet as I haven't been wearing any make up lately. I'm definitely going to try out the Alessandro Pro white, because, as you all know, I have been having problems with my nails, but they are getting better, yay, and so hopefully, soon, I can start doing them again.

I wouldn't normally wear lipstick, I'm a kind of  lip balm only type of girl or maybe some lip gloss on a night out, but the colour on the Glossybox lipstick looks so pretty I might have to try it, and with the Lipcote of course to seal it in.

But I think the All for Eve balm is the one I am most excited about trying. I do get very dry skin sometimes and I'm hoping this can help with it.

So, that's whats in my August Glossybox. Did you get any different products? Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think of them?

Hope you're all snuggled up at home in a duvet on this rainy day too.

:)x

  1. This looks like a really good box! Usually I look at people's boxes & I'm underwhelmed, so I'm surprised I've heard people bitching about this one. Great haul.
