What's in my February (Valentines) 2013 GlossyBox?

This months GlossyBox is a special edition box and I love it.

It's very pretty and as you can see, the designs goes the whole way around the box.
It is a baby pink box with hot pink detailing.

Inside, we have baby pink tissue paper with a hot pink bow and hot pink detailed sticker.
See what products I got after the jump.

I honestly, completely expect everything in the February box to be sickly pinks and reds because of Valentines day but I'm pleased to say I was wrong.

The info sheet shows the theme of 'Will you be ours?'

Inside the info sheet, it has, what is now the norm, a little letter from the GlossyBox team and on the other side, has a little tutorial  for Rock 'N' Bold Beautiful Lips. This is good, I like this, I hope they put little tutorials in like this more often, or something to do with current trends and how to pull them off.

Then we have the product list, and that's what I'm going to get to now, the products.

Micabella Cosmetics: Mineral Blush Powder Siera Suede- Micabella's Collection is made of 100% mica, a crystal like mineral. The Mineral Blush Powder offers a beautiful hint of colour and natural glitter that can be applied to the cheeks and temples for a healthy translucent glow. Excellent coverage, SPF15 protection and that excellent staple of young, healthy, natural blush.

RRP: £34.95 for 9g. I received 0.8g.

This powder is fine and does indeed have a hint of sparkle in there. It doesn't look too dark so hopefully it will work well on my pale skin.

Model Co: Eyeshadow Palette in Bronzed Goddess in Maldives and Jamaica- Perfect for girls on the go, this eyeshadow duo features two complimentary shades that can be worn alone or together to create different looks, taking you from day to night. Each compact has an inbuilt mirror and a double ended applicator for touch ups on the go, for perfectly made up eyes that are sure to turn heads. The perfect companion this Valentines day, whether you're getting ready for a romantic date or dressing up for a fun night out with the girls!

RRP: £18 for 3x 2.35g. I received 2x 2.35g.

I really like that this eyeshadow compact is in neutral colours rather than bright Valentines related colours. The powder seems quite thick and pigmented with a hint of sparkle. As you can see below, this was just a swipe over with my fingers and quite a bit of powder came off.

Anatomicals: You need a Blooming Shower- This vitalising body cleanser makes every shower a flower power experience. The natural healing properties of rose and jasmine leave you feeling as fresh and fragrant as a flower, ready to hit the town on Valentines Day.

RRP: £5 for 300ml. I received 150ml.
For more on this product and others go to anatomicals.net.

I received an Anatomicals product back in last years October box and I was quite impressed with them then, this has made me like this company even more. The scent of rose is gorgeous and quite strong but not sickly strong. I haven't used this yet but I look forward to it.

Helen E Cosmetics: Moisturising Lipstick- if you love your lipsticks, you'll fall in love with Helen E's creamy, moisturising range of natural and vibrant colours. use alone or with Helen E lip pencil to shape and define your lips, creating that perfect sultry Valentine's look.

RRP: £8 for 3.5g. I received 3.5g.

As you may know, I'm not a massive fan or user of lipstick. I like the dark colour of this one. The colour says Raspberry but to me it looks more of a cherry or dark wine colour. I may use this one as I'd like to try a new look but wouldn't wear the bright lipsticks I have received in the past.

I tried to take a better picture to show you the colour properly, this was the best I could do. It does show how creamy it looks though. The lipstick tube also seems quite sturdy which is good for those that carry lipsticks loose in handbags.

Docteur Renaud: Raspberry Soft Cream- Docteur Renaud is a GlossyBox favourite. The renowned french doctor brand specialises in the power of nature (drawing on effective natural ingredients), steering clear of harsh chemicals and additives, providing even the most sensitive skin types with an all-around 'feel good' effect. This luscious cream has an indulgent formula combining four complimentary raspberry extracts, providing complete comfort and protection during the cold winter months. Patented phyto-endorphins boost skin cell activity, leaving it looking beautiful, perfectly hydrated, supple and protected throughout the day.

RRP: £25 for 50ml. I received 30ml.

I love the raspberry scent so I was quite happy to see this in here, however, honestly, the scent was slightly disappointing. To me it smelled like a manufactured raspberry scent, quite badly actually. The cream however is very nice, its not thick and applied nicely with no residue left behind and left the patch I tested it on feeling very soft and smooth.

GlossyBox also threw in this little extra in the form of a heart shaped lollipop. (excuse the weird blue colouring on the right hand side, the wrapper messed with my camera a little bit) I love receiving GlossyBox branded things, especially when they are a nice extra, yes, even in lollipop form. I haven't nommed on this yet but I'm sure it will be lovely.

So, based on the products and sizes in this months box, the value of the box is roughly £40.60. That isn't including the lollipop. I'm chuffed with this box and it greatly exceeded my expectations for this month. Not only that, my box was dispatched on Friday (which is new, normally is on a Monday or Tuesday) and I got it on Saturday, which to me, means I got it earlier than expected as well. woop woop.

Did you get anything different in your GlossyBox?

Hope you all had a good weekend.

:)x
