What's in my March GlossyBox?

Well, as you can see, this month's theme for the GlossyBox is 'Get City Chic', I've had a look around t'interwebs over the last few days to see what others got and thought about this month's box, and a lot of people are saying they really like this box and that it's possibly the best box they have ever had from GlossyBox. I have to say, I don't really agree, I'm not disappointed in the products, I'm just not blown away by the grouping. In the last 6 months, I have had a few really good boxes and this one just isn't up to par. There was a little bit of disappointment but I'll moan about that at the bottom.

Right, back to the them, it's all about getting that glossy, groomed, city girl look, and lets be honest, we would all love to clean the house, cook food, pick up the kids, do the shopping, then come out the other side still looking like the picture perfect city, business woman, never works like that thought does it?

Along with the little Info sheet that comes in each months box, a little GlossyBox 'Black Book of Travel' has been included.

This little book is pretty fab if you do a lot of travelling. Each GlossyBox office has their city in the book and they have put together a great list of  places to visit if you're ever in their city. It's a very interesting little book.

Just as an example, here is the page or the UK.

In the middle of the book, there are these cute little travel themed stickers, which I am going to use to decorate a box or board when I get round to it.

OK, lets move onto the the products.

Elizabeth Arden: Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Fragrance Free- A tried and tested classic, this is every girl on the go's must-have staple. Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe and protect your skin, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant was an instant success and has been one of the UK beauty Editors favourite product for the past 7 years! A little goes a long way with this intensive moisturiser, so enjoy it sparingly.

RRP: £25 for 50ml. I received 7ml.

Creams are good, I like a good face cream, this is a jelly like cream, and they are right, the tiniest amount seems to spread all over, but I still don't expect I will get much use out of a 7ml sample. It seems to have the faintest of smells but I cant honestly describe what it smells like.

Nails Inc; Bruton Street- Bruton Street, nestled in the middle of London's Mayfair and home to the likes of Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, upmarket resteraunt Hakkasan, antiques dealers and contemporary art galleries. In short: sophisticated with more than a touch of glamour. just like the nail polish Nails Inc has named after the street: a dusky pink nude shade that is perfect for a cosmopolitan, everyday look!

RRP: £11 or 10ml. I received 4ml.

Yay, I do love it when a nail polish is put in the box, although it's another pink, GlossyBox seem to like their pinks and reds a little too much, but it's also a Nails Inc which is good because I wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise. I'm probably going to try this polish at some point because it says it's a nude pink but other than that it will probably go in my emergency polish in my handbag with the other Nails Inc mini that came in my November GlossyBox

L'Occitane En Provence: Brightening Hand Care SPF15- No matter how much you protect your face and neck with luxury skincare and SPF, it's your hands that will give you away with age spots and wrinkles if you don't look after them. Which is why we have one of L'Occitane's brightening hand creams in every handbag and by every sink. A non-oily lotion that firms and smoothes the skin, reduces the appearance of age spots and protects against UV damage with filters to protect you hands from sun damage, this is a must-have for every woman, irrespective of her age.

RRP: £19 for 75ml. I received 15ml.

This cream has quite a nice texture to it, it smoothed well into my skin, but it does smell quite funky. I'm not sure how often I will use this just because I don't like the smell.

Tresemme: Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray- Tired of creating salon-worthy hair that doesn't last throughout your busy day? So were we, until we discovered Tresemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray. With a fast drying professional performance formula, this hero hairspray provides all day flexible control with long lasting extra firm hold that is humidity resistant and brushes out with ease. What's not to love?

RRP: £4.69 for 500ml. I received 100ml.

I'm not a hairspray fan at all. Why do I feel like I am breaking some kind of female cardinal rule by saying that? It makes my head/hair feel  icky, so I just never want to go back to using it. Regardless of that though, I have used other products from the Tresemme range on my hair, and I have never been disappointed, and this is a good handbag/overnight bag sized can.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics: Lip Blush- Want to make a bold statement? A juicy lip stain and moisturiser in one, Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetic's lip blush is an effective multi-tasker, and a must have for any girl on the go. Beeswax and ceresin wax, create a sheer, smooth application.

RRP: £12 for 2.5g. I received 2.5g.

This is the only product that I really don't like. Yes, it's red, and you know I'm not a big fan of red, but just for experiments sake, I tried this on my lips, it dragged on the lips, so application was terrible and tbh, it didn't feel moisturising at all. Plus, I looked like a tool wearing red on my lips.

So that is it for the items I received, the overall value based on my rough calculations, makes the value of this box around about £24.63 which is more than double the cost of the GlossyBox so it's a pretty good haul.

At the beginning, I told you that I was a little disappointed in some element of this months box, I'm going to tell you now what it was.

Glossyboxes are very cute and each one I have had, has turned up immaculate, OK, maybe, sometimes, a little bit shaken up by the delivery of it, but this month, it was much different.

This month, it just looked like the person who put my box together couldn't be arsed and just threw it all together. The ribbon was barely tied, the tissue paper wrapped around it was too small.

The sticker as just stuck on in any old place, instead of  placed in the bottom corner holding the edges together. And the tissue paper was ripped.

I know I don't pay or the visual aspect of the box, I pay for the products but each box so far has been well put together and I worry that if a company stop giving a shit about certain things, then it's not long before they stop giving a shit about the whole thing.

Has anyone else had their box turn up in a less than perfect condition? So that's my moan over.

Did you receive anything different in your box? What do think of this months box?
