Adulting is hard..... don't make me do it!

I've been absent for a few weeks because of super stressful adult and spoonie stuff, I hate adulting, adulting is hard, whoever thought it was a wise idea for me to adult must have been high or just insane.
At the end of my last post, I also mentioned that I would be going for a Lumbar Puncture that Monday, I had to re-schedule that which gave me another 2 weeks to stress and worry about it. I have quite a fear of needles, I know, weird for a sick person, you'd think I' d be used to it by now but no, it seemed to have gotten easier for a short while and then spiralled out of control again, I actually passed out at my last MRI when they put in the sheath for the contrast.

Of course, everyone tells me not to worry, it won't hurt or it's not that big of a needle, but it's just the thought of the needle and something foreign being in my body, it genuinely really freaks me out and I can't really explain it other than the fact that my brain is crazy.

I had the Lumbar Puncture on Monday just gone and overall, aside from my insanely and unnecessarily overpowered anxiety, the experience wasn't at all that horrifying. There were 2 local anaesthetic injections, I think it was one in the surface, then one in the spine but I'm not 100% certain on that. The first one stung a tiny bit and the second one caused a few seconds of pain but that subsided quickly, after that, all I could feel was a pressure on my back. It lasted about 15 minutes all together and honestly, the worst part of it was hearing some of my spinal fluid dribbling at the end when the doctor was finishing up.

Luckily, I didn't get a headache afterwards and all I have experienced in after effects is a tight back with some back pain but I'm pretty used to pain in my back.

I've been doing light activities and a good deal of resting by which I mean playing Assassins Creed Chronicles: China, have you played it? I'm really enjoying it but at the same time it's infuriating and I want to smash the pad through the wall, it is a stunning game though and I would recommend it if you like runner type games.

Here is a gorgeous picture of Pixel because I have been getting ALL the cuddles this week and he has been a good distraction, I have been trying to get up the motivation to do blog stuff and then getting annoyed when I couldn't be bothered so he lessened the annoyance with that beautiful, snuggly face.

Anyway, that's where I have been for the most part, there have been other things too, including an ongoing situation with DWP which is always super fun but I'm back now and I have some fun things planned for August, including something to celebrate my 3rd Blogiversary which was 16th July. I'm thinking of doing more posts like this dotted about here and there, but I am terrible at this whole telling people about normal life stuff, and I'm also going to try and take more relevant photos so I don't have to use meme generator for everything, but not to worry, there will still be just as many nail posts if that's what you are here for. :)

So what games have you been playing in July? What polishes have you been loving? And anything else, tell me all about it in the comments!
