Straight Outta Vault 111

These nail wraps are called Wasteland Wanderer and they were from the May Espionage Cosmetics BOOM!Box and they are inspired by the jumpsuits worn by the residents of Vault 111 from the Fallout universe.  They are glossy and pretty bright considering they are from a post-apocalyptic world.

I love the effect of texturing on these wraps, which you can see really clearly on the thumb and because of the design still, it still really works on short nails, which is awesome.

They were easy to apply, easy to get rid of any excess and they stuck really well.

If you fancy signing up to Nexus or BOOM!Box to get awesome, exclusive nail wraps like this then pop over here and if you haven't used it before, don't forget to use my code BBKAPOWNX for $3 off the first month on any new sub. (code can be used once per customer)

Or, if you just fancy grabbing some awesome nail wraps from the shop, pop here and use code NMA15KAPOW for 15% off your order over $25. (code can be used once per customer)

The fun Vault Boy figure and the metal sign in the background are both Loot Crate.

Hope you're having an awesome weekend and don't forget...

BeautyBigBang Large Embellishment Wheel

Phew! That's another hectic week over. I honestly thought that this whole secondary school thing would settle down after the first week but I'm pretty sure this hectic thing is here to stay. I just need to manage my time and energy more efficiently. My spoons are not stretching.

But forget that, look at this pretty above! This embellishment wheel is from BeautyBigBang and it is absolutely packed to the brim with fun and random embellishments. From massive roses to Minions to fimo slices and small metallic cutouts, it's bright and it's colourful and I love it.

The one problem is, with so much choice, what do you do? I had serious trouble coming up with a mani for this post...

... so I ended up with this. Meet Dave! My unicorn that likes to wear massive bows. He also loves everything and everyone!

My base for this mani is Prints Charming from KBShimmer, Dave is from the Uberchic Unicorn Love stamping plate and I added a coat of Barry M Matte topcoat. Then i gave Dave a bright pink large bow and added a bright pink large heart to my thumb to match!

The embellishments are all great and are pretty easy to get them sitting nicely on the nail. I'm not used to big embellishments though and sadly Dave's bow did not last long as I don't think it was really gym appropriate. Dave was sad, rightly so too!

You can buy this embellishment wheel here for £2.08/$2.83, which is such a bargain! Don't forget that you can also use my code PLUS10 to get 10% off your order total, just pop the code in at checkout.

Have an awesome weekend!

Danglefoot Nail Polish Eat, Sleep, Poop, Repeat!

What an absolute nightmare of a week. It was so hectic and stressful and nothing of course, went the way it was supposed to. But here we are in the weekend now and it's nice to just be chilling out. I am currently fighting fatigue and hoping I haven't typed any sensitive information or completely irrelevant conversation into this blog post!

But you're blatantly wondering about this beauty. This is Eat, Sleep, Poop, Repeat from Danglefoot Nail Polish. It is part of a trio of baby related polishes that Hayley released to celebrate the birth of her 3rd child, Levi. The name was a joint effort between me and Lea from LeasNails and as we had a hand in the name, Hayley kindly sent us a bottle each.

Eat, Sleep, Poop, Repeat is a red toned, orange crelly with scattered holo and blue/green chrome flakes. It applied beautifully and was opaque in 2 coats. It dried quickly and to a smooth and glossy finish. These photos show it without topcoat! It was easy to remove and there was no evidence of staining.

The Danglefoot Nail Polish store is closed for restocking right now but check out their links below so that you can keep up with what's going on and what beauties you can snag when the store re-opens!

Polished By Leanne Cowabunga

When the Polished By Leanne Facebook happened, I was there ready for bargains and prizes, it was a fun online event and the first I have ever took part in. I didn't win anything but I did jump in crazy quick when the only bottle left of Cowabunga was put up for sale, and so i got this beauty for £2.50!
This was from the Surfs Up collection and it was one that I definitely needed in my collection.

Cowabunga is a gorgeous silver with holo glitter. It is completely opaque in 3 thin coats and dries smooth and satiny but I added a coat of Seche to really bring out the holo. It look great in both indoor light and direct sunlight. It dried really quickly and was pretty easy to remove.

I couldn't wear a polish called cowabunga and not add my favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I did do his mask in a purple that I think is a little too dark but he looks awesome anyway.

This polish is not currently available but there are other gorge polishes in the store from £2.50 a bottle and, I may or may not have heard that a new collection is on it's way so keep your eyes peeled!

Espionage Cosmetics Abacus Nail Wraps

So tomorrow, not only does my son go back to school but he is also starting at Secondary school. I feel like this is a huge, ugly cry moment, and let me tell ya, I am close to bawling like a fool. It still feels like only yesterday he was learning to walk, let alone turning into a young man. But he is dealing with it really well and rather than being anxious, he is actually really excited about it and I'm so proud of him because he has Aspergers and change can be really, really hard for him but he is dealing with it like a baws!

Anyway, I have been saving these wraps for just this occasion and I think they are perfect for Back to School. These wraps are the Abacus wraps from Espionage Cosmetics and they were in the May Nexus. These wraps are glossy but with silver foil bars, which makes them really stand out.

Don't forget that you can use my code BBKAPOWNX for $3 off any new Nexus of BOOM!Box subscription. (Code can be used once per customer). Oh and also grab 15% off from the shop if you use code NMA15KAPOW (once per customer). Currently lusting after, like every set of the new 22s!!!

Who else is having kiddie milestones this week? Are yours starting Secondary School too or are they starting school for the first time ever? Have you stocked  up on tissues?

Sending out feels to all the Mums and Dads out there, you got this!

Saturday, 2 September 2017

I'm feeling very punny today and knot in a bad way haha! I finally have a new and fully functioning laptop and I am just trying to get used to it, the keyboard is all laid out slightly differently but it's enough to throw me off a bit, so if you notice anything wrong let me know.

So, anyway, I was sent this embellishment wheel by BeautyBigBang and as you can see, there are 12 different types of charms. So we have anchors, a turtle, mermaids, seahorses, 3 different types of silver shells, silver starfish, 3 different types of gold shells and gold starfish. For the larger charms, anchors, mermaids and seahorses, you only get 2, but for the shells and starfish you get 5 of each. I was a little sad to see only one turtle in there, I had an idea for a mani for him but really, ideally need 2, one for each hand. I might still do it and maybe do something a little different on the other hand.

For this mani, I went down the sailor route. My bases colours are Barry M Supersonic and Barry M Frost. I used vinyls to get the stripes. I did try and line them up on all the nails but somehow got the opposite on my ring finger and middle finger.  The stamp is from Bundle Monster BM-504!

The charms are all great quality and are easy to get on the nail, they work well with either smooshing them into wet topcoat or with nail glue. You could probably get away with using the larger charms for multiple mani's if you used the topcoat method.

You can find this wheel here for £2.31/$2.99 and don't forget to use my code PLUS10 for 10% off your order, just pop it in at checkout.

Sea you soon!
