Wikkid Polish Thermals Dragon Fruit and Lavender

First of all, my nails snapped :( Well, one traitor on my photo hand snapped quite low and it looked silly keeping the others long so I had to cut them all back. The worst thing is that even though I have been taking really good care of my nails lately, it snapped while I was picking chicken off the bone! I know! What a dick! I was proper gutted. Saying that, I am actually loving having these shorties right now and it's great having short nails for the gym, long nails really stab into your palm when lifting weights.

Anyway, I am still trying to slowly get more indie's into my collection this year, next stop on the route was another of my all time favourites Wikkid Polish. Now, these aren't the polishes I bought, I bought 2 and you will definitely see those soon but the lovely Sarah bundled two of her new thermals in with my order and asked if I would swatch them. I obviously said yes and so that's what I am showing you today.

Espionage Cosmetics Seven Seasons Long

Espionage Cosmetics Seven Seasons Long Doctor Who nerdy nail wraps

I don't know about you but I definitely need a scarf for this nipply weather and what better way to warm up than with help from a Doctor.

These wraps are the Seven Seasons Long nail wraps from the Espionage Cosmetics January NEXUS OP and just in case you aren't really sure, this pattern is inspired by the scarf worn by the fourth Doctor in the series, played by Tom Baker from 1974 to 1981.

These are usually glossy but I added a coat of Barry M Matte topcoat and I adore them with the matte finish.
Espionage Cosmetics Seven Seasons Long Doctor Who nerdy nail wraps glow in the dark

To make them even more awesome, they also glow in the dark. I am pretty sure these are the jelly babies that the Doctor had a love for, particularly the Fourth Doctor and they look cute if not a teeny bit sinister. And now I'm craving Jelly Babies.

The January NEXUS OP is over now but if you want to get awesome exclusive nail wraps, then keep an eye on all the Espionage Cosmetics social media pages to see when the next OP is available to buy and check out their other Subscriptions here. Plus, don't forget that there is loads of awesomeness available in the shop right now and you can use code PLUS10KAPOW for 15% off a $25 or more spend (once per customer)

Remember, you can do it! Whatever it is, you can do it! Yes, even Monday's!

Born Pretty Store Chameleon Powder Flakies

The sun was out today, like proper out. It was also proper freezing but that's the way I kind of like it, bright but cold. So obviously I had to have something on my nails that looked awesome when the sun hit it, so out came these chameleon powder flakies from Born Pretty Store.

You can apply them sparsely to get kind of a gorge, holo tortoise shell effect going on or you apply it quite heavily, all over the nail and then rub it to get the stunning, chameleon powder look with silver holo flakies. These create a gorgeous nail art look for when the sun is out and you're feeling lazy. You just need one or two coats of a really good black, then apply flakies with your finger or the applicator and then top with a good topcoat like Seche and you're done. They apply really easily and are easy to remove but they do have a habit of going everywhere when you move them from the pot to your nail, so don't. Breathe!

You can find these here for £1.22/$1.59 for a 0.1g pot and an applicator, which is enough for a good few mani's and there are 5 other gorgeous colour variations to choose from, this one is #5. And don't forget that you can use code CBAQ10 for 10% off all non sale items.

Have an awesome weekend!

Born Pretty Store Jungle Adventure

I've got this stunning polish from Born Pretty Store to show you today. This is Jungle Adventure and is part of their own brand holo range. It is a dark forest green with a strong, linear holo.

Just like Wine Malaga, it does work best without base coat, because I found that with OPI Nail Envy it does smear a little bit making it difficult to get thin, even coats (other base coats may work better) and like Wine Malaga, the holo effect shows best without topcoat but that doesn't mean the polish isn't still gorgeous with topcoat.

Unlike Wine Malaga, Jungle Adventure does retain some of it's holo effect once you add topcoat but also gets the same, jewel-like appearance which brings depth to the polish and while Wine Malaga is gorgeous, you can't got wrong with holo, ever!

It really is a stunning green and would be a great addition to anyone's collection.

I did try some nail art for this swatch post but it was a complete nail fail and I'm going to attempt it again, only better, sometime in the future so I chose not to put it up.

You can find it here for £3.83/$4.99 along with the other 5 colours in this collection. Don't forget that you can use code CBAQ10 for 10% off all non sale items on bornprettystore.com.

Espionage Cosmetics Angels Who Weep Wraps

Espionage Cosmetics Angels Who Weep Doctor Who nerdy nail wraps

Do you ever find that the harder you try to have some semblance of a routine the more you fail at doing so? Yeah, I am forever in that. I'm not great at time management anyway and I forget a great deal of things unless it's right there in front of me. But the fact that I'm trying is a good thing and hopefully it means I'll get there one day. But for now, expect things on the wrong days or super late. Like my Geek Fuel post which I have still not done.

Anyway, today's gloriously awesome notd are these Angels Who Weep nail wraps. As I'm sure you already know, these are based on the Weeping Angels (quantum-locked humanoids) from Doctor Who.

These wraps look best with a glossy topcoat on them, I used Barry M Plumpy topcoat. The image quality is amazing and they look fantastic from every angle.

Espionage Cosmetics Angels Who Weep Doctor Who nerdy nail wraps glow in the dark

Even better, they glow in the dark. They have 'Don't Blink' on some nails and others have the Angels with their hands down. They look awesome and glow really bright. I'm a little bit wobbly on gitd photos lately, I need to use my tripod and get a shutter button for my camera, then maybe I'll get prefect shots.

These wraps are from the January NEXUS OP, a rare spawn and some awesome designs come out of the OP's. Check the links below of where to find Espionage Cosmetics so you can keep up to date on when the next NEXUS OP spawns. And don't forget that if you haven't already used it, you can use code PLUS10KAPOW for 15% off an order of $25 or more, pop over to the shop to check out what goodies you can get!

Danglefoot Nail Polish Bones

I haven't really been buying many polishes lately and with so many gorgeous collections coming out from indie makers, I have definitely been getting polish envy. So when Danglefoot Nail polish recently opened again and had an amazing Star Trek collection, I went as soon as I remembered. Annoyingly, I was in the poor week of my month at the time and I could only stretch to one polish but luckily, the one I really wanted, Bones (obvs) was not sold out by the time I got there.

And I am so glad because this is an absolutely stunning polish. It is a bright, blue jelly with a bright pink shimmer that shifts to gold and green and shows through in no light, low light and bright light, pretty much all light and this polish looks absolutely gorgeous.

I added the Sciences badge using a Star Trek plate I got from AliExpress, Moyou Black Knight and Born Pretty Store Gold Stamping polish.

This is 3 coats topped with one coat of Seche. You can still see my nail line here but irl you don't notice it and you could probably get away with 2 coats. The formula is gorge, it dries ok and to a smooth and shiny finish. It was easy to clean up and I'm still wearing it so I can't comment on removal or stainage.

Keep an eye on the Danglefoot Nail Polish social media channels for upcoming shop updates and fun things that are happening.

Now, if anyone can tell me why Dr Leonard (Bones) McCoy wore a Sciences badge instead of a medical one, I would be super impressed!

Born Pretty Store Sunset Beach Stamping Polish

So, what did you get up to on Valentine's Day? We did a workout together at home then I watched Castle all night in bed because my pain was too much much again. But then we never really go into all that lovey-dovey stuff anyway!

Well today's nail art is kind of love related because I used one of the new Valentine's plates from Born Pretty Store (BP-L004), but what I'm actually showing you is this gorgeous shifty, stamping polish called Sunset Beach.

Sunset Beach shifts from pink to orange and works as both a stamping polish and a normal polish. It looks great over black, white and one it's own. It has a great formula and is highly pigmented. It dries quickly, is easy to clean up and remove and doesn't stain.

You can find this polish here for £3.52/$4.59 and there are 4 other colours in this range that you'll love too. Don't forget that you can use my code CBAQ10 for 10% off all non sale items.

N3rd Love Nails

I received an absolutely gorgeous polish from Born Pretty Store and it is perfect for Valentine's Day nail art and you know I love me some nerd, so why not some n3πd <3? This is a pretty basic mani with BPS Wine Malaga as the base, stamped with Moyou Black Knight and images from the Lina Hipster, Geek or Chic 01 plate. Then topped with Seche Vite. But let's have a look at some swatches of Wine Malaga.

Loot Crate: Discover

So, at the moment, this is the only Loot Crate I am subbed too. I cancelled Loot for Her because I felt like most of the items just weren't for me and they have ended Loot Pets themselves, which was a little sad. maybe one day they'll bring the Pet sub back and I will re-sub to Loot for her because the last 2 items I got from Loot for Her were pretty amazing. But for now, I am happy-ish with the core crate.
