Loot Crate: Cyber

This month’s Loot Crate theme was Cyber and it has brought together some tech themed items from some of everyone’s favourite franchises. It’s another great batch of items from Loot Crate. So lets have a look at what we got.

EXCLUSIVE Nerd HQ Sticker Sheet (The Nerd Machine)
‘Spread the word of nerd culture with these awesome stickers from our friends at Nerd HQ!’
I love Nerd Machine, have for a long time and I love, love, love Zachary Levi, who doesn’t? This sticker sheet is awesome, I already have the round, black one on my laptop and I’m trying to find some good places to stick the others. Viva La Nerdolution!

EXCLUSIVE Prime T-shirt (djkopet designs)
‘We mashed ’em so you can wear ’em. This month’s crate wouldn’t be complete without the high-voltage, cybertronic tee featuring iconic graphics from two of our favourite sci-fi films.’
Another fantastic t-shirt from Loot Crate, and the sizing/fitting is perfect as usual.

EXCLUSIVE Borderlands Zer0 Game Mat (Loot Crate Labs)
‘Upgrade your game with our 10×12 gaming mat designed to improve the precision and responsiveness of all your mouse movements’
This mouse mat is huge, and it makes me wish that I used a mouse instead of the laptop mousepad. Jim is currently using this on top of his solid gaming pad and it is helping the responsiveness of his mouse, in fact it has made quite a difference.

EXCLUSIVE Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica (Chronicle Collectibles)
‘This 1/2 scale model cyborg noggin is so highly detailed you’ll swearit just rolled off the Cyberdyne assembly line.’

This is pretty cool. It’s made of a light, vinyl type of material and as you can see, it’s bigger than Pixels head, it has a pretty good level of detail and shading to give it a metallic look.
This month’s box can be transformed into a stand for the Endo Skull to get your display on.

EXCLUSIVE Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain (Chronicle Collectibles)
‘Yes, it’s true: true brains are better than one, especially when you’re holding one belonging to a new and improved T-1000 Terminator Cyborg.’
This is quite a heavy, sturdy keyring, it could also work as a pretty cool necklace, don’t you think? A good wear for going to see Terminator Genisys, although I recommend NOT running if wearing it as a necklace.

Future Replicant Corporate Logo Patch (A-B Emblem)
‘Inspired by the sinister biotech company that made some our favourite film replicants, this custom-embroidered patch can be sewn or ironed onto lab coats, robes, shirts or backpacks. Wear it and you’ll be “More human than human!” ‘
I’m quite glad that this patch is iron on and not just sew on, I suck at sewing but this is a cool patch, so what should I iron it to?

Battlestar Galactica Cylon Target Poster Set (Quantum Mechanix)
‘For those with a quick draw, grab your favourite Nerd blaster and hone your skills using these authentic prop replica target practice posters as seen in the show.’

I really want to get the Nerf on the go but I don’t want these to get ruined, There are 2 posters in the set so maybe I could shoot one and save the other.

EXCLUSIVE Glow-in-the-dark Circuit Gadget Pouch (Loot Crate Lab)
‘Charge it under a direct light for a couple of minutes and watch it glow! Zipped pouch with carabiner clip holds cash, keys, combs, pens, plus much, much more!’
I’ve got to be honest about this one, it felt really cheap to me and it’s not often I can say that about any of the items in Loot Crate. It feels like one of those pencil cases that you used to get for 50p in Woolworths and Wellworths when we were kids, just before going back to school after the summer holidays and you would get about a days use out of it before it fell apart.

The glow in the dark circuitry doesn’t glow very well, I tried charging it with sunlight, a lamp and a UV torch and each time, each way, the glow last for a few seconds, it took a lot of attempts and charges to actually get a photo where the glow was this bright , by the time this photo had processed, the glow was gone. It could be useful to store things in just on the desk but I am a little disappointed in this item.
This months pin badge matches the design on the pencil case and looks pretty cool. I’m running out of space for my pin badges now on my current choice of display, I have 17 badges hanging on a ribbon from my desk, How do you display your badges?
What do you mean you haven’t signed up to Loot Crate yet? Are you crazy? Next month Loot Crate are having their very first sequel crate, Heroes 2 and you know how awesome the Heroes Crate was last year, it’s still one of my favourite ever so I’m hoping for good things, so you should definitely go and sign up now, click here on this link now if you want to live, er, I mean, if you want to receive awesome loot each month.
Overall, it was a good month, there were 8 items, 9 if you include the pin badge and 6 of those were exclusives, exclusives are great. I’m not going to do the ‘is it worth it’ bit this month because it’s too hot and I’m choosing to be lazy on this post, you have no idea how much my wrists are sweating right now.
What did you think of this month’s Loot?
:)x

  1. The decent thing about spy cameras that work as tie tacks is that they can be accessible in a wide scope of styles also which would enable you to change out similarly as you would your ordinary tie tack.wittyspy.com
