Loot Crate: Summon

This month’s Loot Crate theme was SUMMON! Celebrating all the monster you can fit in your pocket, and more! I was really excited for this months crate, do you think it lived up to my excitement? Well, let’s have a look.

EXCLUSIVE Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala (Greenlight Collectibles)
‘This 1:43 scale replica of Dean’s signature ride features its original Kansas License plates as seen in the flashback episode “In the beginning.” All other versions of this die-cast wear its later Ohio license plates.’
I love Supernatural, I love Dean and the Impala is a sexy beast of a car, so there is nothing I don’t like about this, oh, except maybe the fact that I was kinda, sorta praying to Crowley that the Supernatural item would be a Castiel item, but I can kinda, sorta let that go, maybe! Anywhoo, a great item for this month’s box.
…Et ad congregandum…eos coram me.

What? Frak, I thought you had left. Don’t judge me, it’s the only way! IT’S THE ONLY WAY I TELLS YA!

Homer Simpson Golden Buddha (Kidrobot)
‘Your path to enlightenment can be found in a Loot Crate! Tap into your inner spirit with Springfield’s celebrated golden guru of gluttony.’
Ack! This is adorable, I am definitely going to keep him somewhere so that I can rub his belly for luck before I leave the house. I forgot to take a photo of it but the box it comes in looks like a little takeaway box, it’s cute!

Pokémon Laplander Hat (Bioworld)
‘Don’t be surprised if someone yells “Hey you, Pikachu!” when you don this officially licensed knit cap. Much like the game’s special summoning items, this wearable treasure can be found by opening your Loot Crate.’
OH…MAH…GAHD! I freakin’ love this! Easily the best item in this month’s crate, this awesome hat will keep my head toasty for most of Autumn and Winter, regardless of anything, I will be one with Pikachu, I will become Pikachu, nothing will get in my way! Who cares if I look weird in hats?

Hearthstone Foam Stress Ball (Blizzard Entertainment)
‘Summon your own inner tranquillity as you squeeze away stress while boosting blood circulation and strengthening hand muscles. Or toss it at an annoying Druid and let the battle begin!’
I am a Blizzard lover, mostly Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm granted, but I do dabble in Hearthstone a little every now and then, I suck at it but I enjoy it and the fact that the Blizzard games are all kind of intertwining these days makes for an assortment of cool things for and from the games I love and this stress ball is so cool. I might keep this next to me for those stressful (read wildly unbalanced) HotS games when the bullshit flow is strong, it might just save my laptop.

Hearthstone Collectible Coin and Card Pack (Blizzard Entertainment)
‘Originally offered as a Blizzcon 2014 exclusive, Loot Crate liked this collectible so much we wanted to share it with you! Includes DLC for exclusive digital game cards too!’

Back of the coin
Ok, so this is pretty awesome too. I’m not gonna lie though, I hoped there would be an item from Diablo 3 or HotS, not 2 Hearthstone items but I can live with it. the fact that it was originally a Blizzcon exclusive helps a little and it will make a very nice display item. The coin actually sits in the centre of the card, so it is all one piece and would look good in a cool wooden frame.

Summon Pin Badge (Loot Crate Labs)
As always, the pin badge is awesome. My current Loot Crate pin badge storage has now officially ran out of space, I need to come up with a new badge storing solution. How do you guys store your badges?

Also in this month’s crate was this, Loot Crate’s Master Summoner, a mobile game available on Android and iTunes/App Store. The game is a nice little tappy time waster so worth checking out even if you are not a Looter.
There are a few bits that use the AR feature and need the box for it, although a photo of the box might work as it needs the top left symbol and should still recognise it that way.

The back of the magazine had these pop out cards which are for the card game Summoner Wars, which would be great aside from the fact that it is a 2 player game that requires each player to have 5 cards, meaning you would need to either know another Looter or scan and print your own. I think these would look great as a little display item, the monsters are cute and it is some fab artwork.
What did you think of this month’s Loot Crate?
Loot Crate have already announced the theme for October: TIME! Which will feature items from time-travel classics like Back to the Future, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Dr Who! They have also revealed there will be a t-shirt and a Funko POP! 2 of my favourite things, plus I love Back to the Future, sooooooo excited.
Still waiting for the theme art poster prints Loot Crate! Make it happen, please! The art is too amazing to let it just disappear from time (see what I did there, yes, I am that good).
If you don’t want to miss out on these awesome items, you can sign up by clicking this link right here. If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits your doormat… you’re gonna see some serious shit! (Doc Brown FTW!)
